Kelly Holloman & Jason Carpenter

If you have ordered a bagel from Alpine on the 2nd floor of the Union, then the chances are high that you know Kelly, Jason, or both. On October 17, Kelly celebrated her birthday, but it was not until the next day that she received her biggest surprise, a marriage proposal. In grand fashion, Jason enlisted the help of Emmy Award nominee and star of Black-ish actor, Anthony Anderson, to help pop the question with a recorded video. The couple plans to get married in 2022.

Sarah Levine & Joshua Ingebretson

Sarah Levine got engaged to Josh Ingebretson in July of 2017 before they ever arrived at UNC in 2018. As their time progressed at UNC, so did the plans of their wedding. With the wedding on the horizon, much like many aspects of people’s lives, the Covid-19 pandemic showed no mercy in wreaking havoc on the wedding plans of the happy couple. With having to change wedding dates twice from then until now, their moment to shine bright on the wedding stage is here. Sarah and Josh will be married on December 22, 2021, and the Carolina Union wishes them heartfelt congratulations and a life full of happiness as they celebrate this momentous occasion!

“Kayla has been a positive member of our office, and we will truly miss her! From her creativity, expertise in event management, and overall kindheartedness, Kayla is a shining light even on the toughest of days for our office. She is an example for us all to follow!

We are excited for everything she is going to accomplish throughout her future! She has tirelessly proven her dedication to being the best version of herself that she can be, and we know that she is going to excel at anything she sets her mind to!” DeVante Thomas-Pittman

“Sydney was always a ray of sunshine in the Union. Her dedication to the Box Office and Guest Services lead me to believe that she had taken up residence in the Union. She was always available to lend a helping hand when it was needed. I cannot fully express how much she will be missed.” -Bonita Brown

On December 10, 2021, Amber received her Master’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Business Analytics from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

“I am so proud of Amber and her accomplishments. Working full time and going to school for her MBA was a lot of work. It was not easy as both work and school are quite demanding. She did both and did an incredible job. Congratulations!” -Alexandra Marchesano
